The Senior Specialist Contract Manager & Legal Compliance will collaborate with Delta Vacations (DLV) business units and various Delta departments to ensure compliance with DOT and other governmental regulations as well as appropriate contract and sweepstakes related control procedures. Assist with coordination of DLV's Emergency Response, Business Continuity and Records Management plans. Support the department as vital to ensure all employee groups understand their role in contracts and compliance (C&C) related issues.

Full-Time Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend may be required as job duties demand. Flexible WFH policy.

Position location is Atlanta, GA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Strengthen relationship with the Marketing division and review DLV's advertising, websites, and other communication channels to ensure compliance with DOT and other governmental regulations.
  • Analyze DLV's contract lifecycle, recommend and implement processes and system improvements to ensure compliance with company control procedures and improve the integrity and accuracy of contract and sweepstakes approval, tracking and retention.
  • Interact with outside vendors and suppliers and negotiate contracts favorable to the company's interests.
  • Maintain relationships and work collaboratively with various airline groups such as Legal, Tax, Credit and any other C&C related departments regarding problems / issues and implementation of laws, programs, and new policies.
  • Verify, supervise, and ensure accuracy of business contracts and sweepstakes.
  • Work collaboratively in the preparation, set-up and delivery of applicable C&C related training programs and materials. Provide guidance to individuals with related questions and needs.
  • Maintain centralized records related to communication materials and training resources for the department.
  • Partner with CEC leadership to develop and implement DLV's Emergency Response program, ensure appropriate alignment with airline's Emergency Response plan, and train applicable DLV staff to ensure readiness for air and/or land emergencies.
  • Share responsibility in the implementation and maintenance of DLV's Information Security and Privacy program.
  • Work collaboratively with DLV staff and Delta's Records Management team to maintain DLV's Record Retention policy and communicate internally to ensure DLV departmental participation.
  • With attorney oversight, assist in reviewing, assessing and drafting comments to commercial contracts, amendments, and other documents, where appropriate
  • With attorney oversight, assist in drafting notice and other letters sent pursuant to DLV's commercial contracts.

OTHER DUTIES
  • Coordinate applicable contract and compliance training programs to DLV team members.
  • Align with all corporate and departmental policies/procedures and applicable governmental regulations.
  • Assist in the research and delivery of ad hoc projects to support DLV business initiatives as assigned.
  • Analyze information for multi-department projects and related project tasks, resource utilization, risk factors and critical path.
  • Communicate applicable C&C information to the appropriate individuals regarding new policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of DLV programs, polices and brands.
  • Take vital actions to remain up to date on industry trends and changes in laws/regulations. Gather collaborators to make recommendations and implement required changes.
  • Regularly evaluate processes and make recommendations for improvements to ensure departmental efficiencies.
  • Generate, analyze, and distribute reports and participate in meetings pertaining to assigned responsibilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans to implement these changes
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include cross-utilization within the department or with other departments.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • Strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook required. PowerPoint preferred.
  • Possess a strong attention to detail, organization, and be able to prioritize and successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communicate to management, staff, suppliers and customers effectively and professionally as well as demonstrate good judgment/reasoning skills.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and solve problems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Project Management or Business Administration experience required
  • Experience working and interpreting corporate contracts required
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

  • Knowledge of Travelport reservation and pricing functions preferred
  • Travel Industry regulatory knowledge preferred
