Job Description:

As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris is looking for a candidate to develop and maintain space command and control (C2) systems. L3Harris is seeking professionals to work in a dynamic environment to solve challenging technical problems. Individuals will perform C2 system software development, design, implementation, test, and configuration management. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle and cyber security and systems administration. This position is located in Dahlgren, Virginia and requires a Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

Essential Functions:

• Design, develop, and test software applications in a high-performance computing environment
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and efficiency on HPC systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software components into a fully functional software system
• Debug and troubleshoot software systems to identify and fix performance bottlenecks
• Implement and adhere to best practices in secure coding to protect sensitive data
• Provide technical leadership, assistance, and mentorship to junior team members
• Assist with quality assurance procedures, including code reviews and performance testing
• Document software and keep detailed records of code changes and revisions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred
• At least 4-6 years of experience in software development with a focus on C/C++/Java/FORTRAN programming and high-performance computing
• Demonstrated proficiency with the C/C++/Java/FORTRAN programming languages
• Active Top Secret security clearance to start, clearable to TS/SCI
• Current CompTIA Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Familiar with source code repositories such as GitLab, etc.
• Familiar with agile development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
