We are currently seeking talented Senior Staff Engineer Defect Metrology who want to join a dynamic and experienced team and take their technical knowledge to the next level in our mission of excellence.

Job description:

In your new role you will:
  • Provide defect metrology recipe application and equipment engineering across KLA, Applied Materials and Camtek platforms. The system types include brightfield, darkfield, bare wafer, e-beam, macro inspection and SEM review.

    Defect Metrology Engineers are responsible for:
    • Writing, optimizing, and managing defect inspections
    • Meeting goals for tool uptime, availability, and matching
    • Managing the budget for their toolset

    The candidate needs to engage individually and as a team member to identify critical defects and report the information back to the FabProcess and Support teams. The candidate will also be responsible for tool maintenance, interfacing with vendors, and making recommendations for work to be done.

Defect Metrology Engineers are expected to have or develop substantialskill in the following:

  • Risk management
Defect Metrology Engineers are expected to have or develop relevantknowledge of the following:
  • Applications Engineering (Recipe development and optimization)
  • Equipment Engineering (Understanding of tool hardware and theory)
  • Equipment install, startup and qualification
  • Fault detection and process control
  • Fab process technology and flow
  • A technology-related BS degree plus 5 years related experience or MS degree plus 3 years' experience.
  • Requires a demonstrated technical expertise in understanding defect metrology recipe setup and optimization, as well as possessing solid knowledge on equipment engineering.
  • Individual must have the ability to organize and lead projects.
