The Senior Staff Production Support & MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) Engineer is an integral part of a team of professionals who get things done, enjoy working together and are committed to growing with this fast-moving company. The Engineer represents Collins Aerospace to the customer as a liaison between the Collins engineering team and the Pratt & Whitney (PW) engine center. The Engineer manages Quality Notification activities across all Commercial and Military Engine Programs.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide substantiated technical evaluations and disposition for defective components, drawing from both Collins and Pratt & Whitney blueprint requirements and production and field limits
  • Work with Collins engineering in the entry and completion of quality notifications in Pratt & Whitney SAP for nonconforming components
  • Participate in daily production calls with the engine centers to support issues as they arise and track engine assembly and test progress
  • Provide on-site support at the engine center for failure investigations and Stop Delivery Orders (SDOs) against Collins components
  • Present paths to deliver hardware to the MRO assembly floor in support of schedule requirements.
  • Receive Program Office direction on how to best deliver to commitments and recover hardware, execute to plan.
  • Participate in leading repair initiatives at the MRO Engine Centers while coordinating and presenting plans and direction with Collins and Pratt & Whitney leadership
  • Coordinate and lead the removal of investigative hardware from designated field engines and assuring replacements are allocated from the spares or exchange pools.
  • Present schedules to deliver hardware to the development and production assembly floor in support of requirements.
  • Travel to assembly and MRO sites as required based on the engine validation/MRO plans across all P&W programs.
  • Change tasks quickly as priorities shift and new issues arise


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR
  • Advance degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated drive to deliver and meet customers expectations for responsiveness
  • Engineering experience
  • Experience in aerospace working with commercial and military programs
  • Demonstrates Project and/or Program management skills.
