From airports to boardrooms, our Legal team provides advice and counsel on all aspects of the business, assessing legal risks and compliance, while our Ethics and Compliance team ensures that we run an ethically sound operation. Key Responsibilities:

This position will help manage our compliance with DOT's tarmac delay requirements and coordinate with our operations personnel to investigate, collect relevant statements and information, and defend against DOT enforcement investigations. This position may also support ensuring compliance with our OSHA investigations as well as other federal agency investigations.

  • Understanding and communicating DOT's lengthy tarmac delay requirements to operations personnel
  • Fostering company-wide policies to prevent the occurrence of reportable tarmac delays
  • Understanding and tracking new DOT developments in policies and tracking enforcement trends
  • Identifying potential noncompliance and investigating the facts surrounding lengthy tarmac delays - including coordination with Airport Operations, NOC, Flight Ops, and Inflight
  • Preparing defenses to DOT's lengthy tarmac delay enforcement actions
  • Support other regulatory compliance matters including defense in OSHA investigations, CBP cargo investigations, and environmental matters

Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience with regulatory compliance or investigations
  • Analytical problem solver with strong organizational skills
  • Adept writer, speaker, listener and negotiator
  • Ability to manage investigations and apply applicable regulatory framework to concrete events
  • Personable, eager, innately curious and loves to learn
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position


What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Past experience with airline regulations
  • Understanding of airline operations and regulatory oversight - including federal regulations and the rule making process
