Technical Operations/Maintenance

Job overview and responsibilities

As a Senior Staff Representative - Quality Assurance Audit, Regulatory Compliance, and FAA Liaison, you will be responsible for researching and collecting information for the FAA Voluntary Disclosure Reporting Program (VDRP), Letters of Investigation (LOI), and other FAA or company issues. Daily communication with all levels of the FAA and company management is required. The auditor must be able to coordinate multidivisional corrective actions and follow-up to ensure completion.

  • Administer the program for processing FAA Letters of Investigation and Voluntary Self-Disclosures.
  • Act as an internal consultant on quality assurance issues, policies, and regulatory requirements within and across organizations.
  • Coordinate and execute company-committed corrective action items to the FAA in response to regulatory findings.


Qualifications

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in technical, safety, or aviation-related field or equivalent work experience
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or equivalent aircraft maintenance/inspection and quality assurance experience
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proven understanding of pertinent Code of Federal Regulations and Company Manuals / Requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and the ability to learn Company/Department IT Platforms
  • In-depth experience interacting with FAA
  • 5-7 years of significant achievements in aircraft maintenance, inspection, engineering, and quality assurance, with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Consistently achieved technical excellence in understanding and implementing aircraft maintenance surveillance and analysis programs.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

  • Master's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Completion of certified programs in the quality assurance field
  • Professional certification in quality or safety
  • Extensive experience in quality assurance auditing and risk assessment
