Job Store Professional has partnered with a Denver CPA firm to recruit for a Senior Tax Accountant for a direct hire onsite position in the Denver, Colorado area. Our client is a CPA firm dedicated to helping individuals and small businesses with innovative accounting and tax planning strategies.

The Senior Tax Accountant will be an onsite position only, no remote or hybrid work is available.

The Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing all types of tax returns and provide tax and business consulting services. Our client works with individuals and small businesses from a range of backgrounds such as construction, medical practices, real estate and technology.

We are looking for a dedicated professional with strong customer service and technical skills that will be able to make this role their own and grow and evolve in the position.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Monday-Friday 40 hours per week - onsite

Salary: $70,000-100,000/year

Essential Functions:

• Compile tax information, reviewing a high volume of financial statements
• Prepares and records journal entries
• Participates in supporting business unit liaisons.
• Answers calls from both internal and external customers.
• Maintain a positive and helpful manner when helping clients and providing tax return results and tax recommendations.
• Handles auditing and researching and investigating issues.
• Ensures timely and accurate payment of tax liability.

Required qualifications

• Candidates must have experience with CCH Axcess or Profx experience.
• CPA or EPA eligible preferred or EA or 10 years high end tax preparer experience for a small firm.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in busy professional tax office with tax season.
• Capable of heavy client interaction with the ability to advise and consult throughout the year.
• Ability to onboard new clients with confidence and educate clients on tax laws and regulations.
• Client centric attitude.
