LaSalle Network has partnered with and is leading the search for a Fortune 500 client of ours in the Retail industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Analyst specializing in multi-state sales and use tax to join our client's dynamic team at a leading Fortune 500 retail company located in Bolingbrook, IL. This is a direct hire position with a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office presence for 6 days each month.

As a Senior Tax Analyst - Sales & Use, you will play a critical role in our client's indirect (non-income) tax discipline, focusing on return compliance, taxability and audit defense. You will be responsible for the implementation of new returns, tax computation and payment, product taxability, audit defense preparation, exposure analysis and mitigation, systems improvement and implementation and project-based initiatives. This position offers a competitive starting salary up to $105,000, plus bonus.

Senior Tax Analyst - Sales & Use Responsibilities:

• Manage and ensure compliance with multi-state sales and use tax return requirements
• Conduct thorough tax computations and ensure accurate and timely payments
• Analyze product taxability and maintain accurate taxability matrices
• Prepare and support audit defense activities, including exposure analysis and mitigation strategies
• Lead the implementation of new tax systems and improvements to existing processes
• Participate in meeting compliance and tax accounting deadlines
• Collaborate with tax department personnel, finance, IT and various business partners across the organization
• Provide support for additional tax areas, including property tax, licensing and indirect tax audits
• Assist management with special projects as needed

Senior Tax Analyst - Sales & Use Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• CPA or Master's in Taxation preferred
• 4+ years of experience in multi-state sales and use tax
• Strong knowledge of indirect tax regulations and compliance
• Proven experience in audit defense and tax systems implementation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in tax software and ERP systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
