We are seeking an experienced Designer with UX/UI expertise to join our team and help shape the future of Energy for our Energy Data Insights OSDU Data Platform. In this role, you will be responsible for designing innovative user experiences for our cutting-edge Generative AI, Agents, and Analytics products, with a focus on the upstream oil and gas industry.

Key job responsibilities

* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, end-user customers, and software engineers, to understand user needs, pain points, and requirements.

* Create user-centric designs and storyboards that seamlessly integrate advanced data analysis capabilities, leveraging your expertise in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design.

* Develop prototypes, mockups, and wireframes to validate design concepts and collect feedback from stakeholders and end-users for our Engineering team.

* Ensure design consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across the OSDU Data Platform and AWS Energy product suite.

* Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Generative AI/Agentive AI for data visualization, user interaction, and interface design, and incorporate them into your work.

* Utilize your deep knowledge of the energy industry, particularly upstream subsurface data, to tailor the user experience to the specific needs of our target customers.

* Participate in the development and testing of the final product, providing guidance and support to the engineering team.

* Continuously measure and analyze user feedback to iteratively improve the product design and enhance the overall user experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 8+ years of design experience

- Have an available online portfolio

- Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
