Responsibilities

Responsible for leading and supporting Hospice business development goals/targets and strategic growth initiatives. Works closely with Vice President of Business Development (VPBD) to identify organic growth opportunities along with developing strategy and plans for execution.

Essential Functions:
  • Identify , plan, and execute business development growth strategy with continuous review and improvement for gap assessment and pivot.
  • Partner with business intelligence and analytics teams using data to design growth strategies and achieve growth targets. Architect library of analytics that will support growth strategies.
  • Responsible for exceeding revenue and admit volume goals.
  • Collaborate with SVP's on business development workforce growth to ensure positive financial outcomes.
  • Serve as business development strategic expert and member of HH or Hospice senior leadership team to ensure LOB performance goals are achieved.
  • Oversee market/territory management and alignment.
  • Support SVP's to collaborate and support VP BD's to identify opportunities and collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance market presence and market share.
  • Anticipate and maintain awareness of changes in both internal and external competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion and new industry developments and standards.
  • Direct, drive, and oversee business development plans; consistently re-evaluate business plans and work with Regional Leadership Team (RLT) to make changes or adjust as needed.
  • Partner with SVP's to assess, develop, and drive VPBD performance including but not limited to KPI scorecard evaluation.
  • Lead and serve as final approver on quotas and territory expansion opportunities.
  • Lead regularly scheduled growth call about region growth performance and KPI's.
  • Set goals, monitor work product, and evaluate results to ensure organizational objectives are met. Responsible, in conjunction with the RLT, for sales and profitability by driving year over year growth and volume to achieve budgeted targets and goals.
  • Oversee business development workforce including, but not limited to hiring, talent development, coaching, and mentoring. Monitor and evaluate growth strategist & VPBD performance. Work with SVP's to hold VPBD's accountable for the attainment of defined goals and objectives . Execute effective performance redirection when needed. Develop employees through coaching, mentoring, and formal/on the job training and development opportunities. Create, support, and drive employee engagement and a strong sales culture.
  • Guide training department to provide ongoing skill-based development for all tenure, inclusive of leadership. Provide input on content and subsequent analytics to determine efficacy.
  • D eep dive as needed with AVP BD to create, plan, and execute on market specific growth strategies.
  • Report, share, and present information and strategies to the President and C-Suite on a regular schedule.
  • Maintain compliance with governmental regulations and industry regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Health Care Administration, or related field; or extensive related job experience.
  • Ten (10) + years management in healthcare
  • Five (5) + years sales leadership experience

Preferred:
  • Master's degree in Business Administration , Health Care Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in Hospice and Homecare.
  • National account management responsibilities.

Working Conditions:
  • Frequent travel.
