JOB SUMMARY: The Sr Video Editor and Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for ideating and crafting dynamic video edits and motion-driven deliverables for short-form and long-form video content. This includes commercials, product videos, corporate communications, animations, motion packages, and digital advertisements across web, social media, broadcast, and various marketing channels.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ideate and execute high-quality videos and animated content (commercials, product videos, social media content, corporate communications, digital advertisements) aligned with the brand's identity and messaging.
  • Apply color correction and grading techniques, choose proper music tracks, and use sound design to create immersive video edits.
  • Utilize advanced video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve) for proficient color correction, sound editing, motion graphics, and visual effects.
  • Create elegant motion design sequences through 2D and 3D animation.
  • Design motion packages/toolkits for multi-channel video content and ideate camera movements in 3D environments.
  • Digest creative briefs and storyboards to convey complex ideas clearly through motion.
  • Develop and enhance post-production workflows for efficient video creation and delivery.
  • Maintain proper file naming conventions and file management, collaborating with the Media Asset Management specialist for final distribution.
  • Work closely with in-house video and creative teams to maintain a consistent look for all motion content, acting as a brand steward.
  • Accommodate multiple revisions under tight deadlines and manage projects based on business priorities with exceptional time management skills.
  • Provide status updates on assigned jobs, create production/editorial schedules, and utilize internal project management tools for task review and feedback.
  • Ensure all video deliverables use the highest quality elements (color graded material, high-fidelity audio, proper frame rates) to deliver polished outputs.
  • Collaborate effectively with other editors, employing excellent organizational skills to manage project files.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Film, Broadcast, Motion Design, Advertising, Fine Arts, Computer Animation, Visual Effects or related fields of study.

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working in a creative studio, corporate environment, broadcast and/or agency. Online Portfolio and/or, demo reel is a must.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
  • Acute eye and rhythm for visuals and pacing for editorial compositions and graphics, as well as a keen understanding of the importance of musical arrangements, design layouts and balance.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging software technologies and ability to maintain up to date and thorough knowledge of video editing and the role of motion in commercial and social media landscapes.
  • A creative problem solver with a positive, team player attitude.
  • A comprehensive understanding of pre-production through the post-production process and a discriminating eye/ear for video/audio and animation quality are required.
  • Knowledgeable regarding standard video camera formats, media management, storage and delivery.
  • Must have advanced/expert knowledge of video editing and motion design, as well as able to generate video sequences using various software packages including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator); DaVinci Resolve, Cinema 4D, Redshift, Red Giant tools, Mocha Pro, miscellaneous Adobe After Effects scripts and plug-ins.
  • Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented and well-organized with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Plus: Technically adept with 3D camera tracking, rotoscoping and advanced compositing.
  • Plus: Proven excellence in color correction and grading.
  • Plus: Ability to create advanced motion design sequences with 2D and 3D animations.
  • The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for video edits, animation, design, typography, modern graphics, and a strong sense of creative storytelling.
