Key job responsibilities

• \tLead GTM to orchestrate sales motions for sales, marketing, partner, product, training, and professional services teams to accelerate adoption of your aligned technology domain.

• \tLeverage your deep domain expertise to create best in class field enablement and sales strategy.

• \tSupport field teams in solution building for high priority customers.

• \tBring market signals back to product teams to drive innovation on AWS product roadmaps.

• \tOwn reporting and planning cadences to AWS executives on GTM plan execution.

• \tDemonstrate thought leadership and be able to credibly represent AWS at industry events, conferences, symposiums, etc.

• \tAbility to travel up to 30% as needed

About the team

Come change the way customers use the cloud to modernize their networks! The WWSO Networking team helps customers identify the right networking services, architectures, and constructs to connect to AWS and accelerate their own innovation by unlocking new potential in AWS. Our team works closely with customers to engage them in GTM motions that expand the adoption of AWS Networking services such as Direct Connect, PrivateLink, Amazon VPC, Cloud WAN, Lattice, Network Firewall, and Transit Gateway within their environments.

In this role, you will have worldwide responsibility to define the relevant business goals for growing AWS Networking services, target market segments, ideal customer profile, and rolling out focused adoption sales campaigns. You'll also act as the voice of the customer, recognizing critical signals from the field and the market to partner with product managers to inform roadmap decisions. Above all, you will care deeply about the customer, and understand how adopting networking services contributes to their overall success on AWS.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience

- 5+ years of Networking and/or Software-defined Networking experience, driving adoption of technology products or services

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills.

- Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple teams, as well as internal and external executive stakeholders.

- Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO) and Line of Business Leaders.

- Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.

- Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing, implementing, managing, and executing go-to-market growth initiatives and sales motions.

- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.

- Technical background in engineering, computer science, or MIS a plus.

- Deep knowledge of core networking principles such as IPv4 and IPv6 protocols, BGP, DNS, MPLS, etc.

- Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn data-driven analysis into useful insights to drive adoption

- Proficiency or experience with AWS Networking technology (but we'll help you if you don't)
