Job Duties

The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services' (DBHDS) Production Supports Division is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as the Server Administrator. This position serves as a member of the DBHDS Production Server Support team and helps to facilitate resolution of operational issues for infrastructure and associated application systems. This position provides administrative and technical support by responding to help desk tickets and/or supervisor direction for Server break/fix, software troubleshooting, and software installation assistance. This position also provides technical services for Web/application/system interface and design, along with application deployment, as well as end-user support, system administration, and problem resolution in multiple areas that are specific to DBHDS.

Minimum Qualifications

• Mid-level technical skills and knowledge of information technology to include infrastructure and applications.
• Experience with issue resolution, inventory management, ticket management, vendor management.
• Experience with Administration of Windows enterprise systems including Domain Controllers, antivirus, and databases.
• Experience installing, configuring, and supporting current versions of Microsoft Server 2012, 2016, 2019 and current Microsoft products.
• Experience supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and RADIUS/RRAS.
• Experience in business analysis role in an IT environment, with the ability to update documentation and diagrams to capture the environment accurately and effectively.
• Experience in MS Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, Visio, and Project, with the ability to prepare technical documentation using these and other tools.
• Experience with routers, firewalls, switches, VPN, LAN/WAN, wireless LAN technologies.
• Knowledge in infrastructure hardware, hardware management, and testing tools.
• Ability to design and install end-user network systems, including hardware selection, software selection, and integration.
• Knowledge and understanding of network security, and the systems that support network monitoring and management.
• Ability to perform as project manager of network infrastructure and design projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under specific deadlines.
• Ability to lead, problem solve, and deal confidently with technical matters.
• Effective verbal and written internal and external communication.
• Experience working with suppliers with demonstrated benefits to the business through strong relationship management.

Additional Considerations

• Experience as a technical lead.
• Experience with digital certificates.
• Industry certifications such as Network +, Security +, AWS certificates, etc.
• Experience with VITA/IronBow/DBHDS policy and procedures as related to IT.
