About Our Team
Lenovo's Cloud Service Provider Group (CSP) is seeking a Server Development Engineer to join our team. At Lenovo, we pride ourselves on delivering end-to-end solutions tailored to meet even the most unique customer demands.
Our CSP solutions are conceptualized, developed, and deployed worldwide, all within our in-house expertise.
Location: This position is based in Morrisville, NC.
Job Description Summary
What You'll Do
• Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop server hardware components, including server boards, chassis, cooling systems, and power supplies.
• Assist in selecting and evaluating components based on performance, cost, and reliability considerations. Ensure compatibility and adherence to design specifications.
• Participate in prototype development and testing phases to validate design concepts and functionality. Conduct performance benchmarks and stress tests to identify potential improvements.
• Prepare design documentation, technical specifications, test reports, and engineering drawings. Maintain accurate records of design iterations and changes.
• Work closely with cross-functional global teams.
• Implement and adhere to quality assurance processes and standards throughout the design and development lifecycle.
Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of hardware engineering experience
• Bachelor's or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Experience with server, storage or GPU design/development
• Customer engagement experience
Preferred Qualifications
• x86 Intel server architecture and/or GPU Nvidia Arm based technology
• Data center architecture experience
• Experience with OCP based hardware
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work with global teams.
• Experience working with hyperscale customers
