The Minecraft Realms and Gatherings Team is looking for a Server Engineer to help us craft an amazing future for Minecraft Online and all of our server-based experiences. Lots of fun for our players!

The Minecraft Realms and Gatherings Team is responsible for all the features that enable server-based experiences on Minecraft: Realms, Live Events, and other partner servers.

You will be part of a dynamic team building features to empower internal and external partners to create amazing shared experiences for users and their friends, block by block, one crafting recipe at a time.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Developing and coordinating features using Microsoft Azure compute , storage, cache, VMs, containers, or utilizing a comparable cloud-based web s ervice provider .
  • Understanding of test - and performance - driven methodology to build services that ensure our services are secure, robust and handle extremely high scale.
  • Experience in writing code in C# and .Net (preferred) and/or other related languages.
  • Extensive experience building RESTful APIs, utilizing design patter ns to ensure code is robust, offloads processing when appropriate and that are designed to scale .
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
