Tesla Energy maintains a significant population of 3rd party equipment in their deployed fleet of solar assets. Our service support team works to ensure we can continue to support this equipment despite limited current relationships with some of these vendors.
This role is designed to work with internal stakeholders and external vendor partners to improve the flow of replacement and return material, and ensure Tesla is filing claims, billing, and collecting reimbursement for servicing these 3rd party products. Filing reimbursement claims with various manufacturers will be a requirement of this role.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, and looking for an opportunity to improve an area of the business that is important but tends to get overlooked. They can think critically and prioritize what's most important and have patience to navigate sometimes challenging vendor relationships to achieve the best possible outcome for Tesla


Responsibilities
  • File warranty claims with various suppliers
  • Support billing activities related to these claims, and those filed by other groups within Tesla
  • Manage interactions with distributed operation center and field partners to drive behavioral change and improve process compliance
  • Suggest improvements and define business requirements for systems enhancement and project manage through to implementation
  • Identify ways to improve processes to simplify and reduce costs for recoveries
  • Work collaboratively with external supplier partners to identify issues, improve processes, and ensure Tesla is maximizing its reimbursement from these suppliers
  • Respond to inquiries internal inquiries about RMA claim's statuses


Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, operations, business process improvement, vendor management, or equivalent operations excellence subject matter expertise
  • Evidence of exceptional ability, especially within an ambiguous environment
  • Demonstrated success driving tangible impact / influencing within a broader organization
  • Highly collaborative, team oriented, and comfortable leading cross-functional projects
  • Analytical skills (e.g., Microsoft Office applications) and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Direct supplier management experience a plus
