Title: Service and Equipment Field Mechanic
Location: San Diego, CA
Shift: Day Shift (7-4:30 plus OT (24-hour service)
Compensation: $30-$33

Position Description:
The Service and Equipment Field Mechanic will respond to service and repair needs of customers and the company while also outlining supplies, materials, and tools for field repairs and maintaining the service truck. This position reports to the Branch Service Manager. The service and equipment field mechanic is encouraged to purchase and utilize their own tools; however, company tools can be provided.
• Inspect and diagnose heavy equipment issues for mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical problems followed by conducting the repair or service.
• Prepare and complete repair cost estimates, order parts and supplies necessary for work, prepare invoices, follow HAZMAT policies and safety procedures.
• Utilize basic mechanics hand and power tools, industrial forklifts, pressure washers, electronic testing equipment, and more.

Requirements:
• Basic mechanical and electrical systems experience, experience with hydraulics and schematics is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and a forklift certificate is preferred.
• This job requires physical activity such as pushing/pulling loads greater than 40lbs, lifting/carrying loads greater than 50lbs, and fine manipulation of the hands.
• Transitioning Veterans with Diesel experience preferred.
