Job Title: Set-Up Technicians

Location: Virginia Beach

Hourly Rate: $18-20 an hour

Hours: 3rd Shift: Monday-Friday 10:55PM-7:05AM



General Description of Set-Up Technicians:

The Set-Up Technician is responsible for preparing, installing, and maintaining machinery and equipment in a manufacturing or production environment. Being a Set-Up Technician requires a keen eye for detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of production systems.

Responsibilities of a Set-Up Technician:

• Operates production machines
• Preventative maintenance of production machines
• Checks and prepare containers for proper condition
• Completes requested Quality Control for the parts in relation to the Control Plan
• Proper documentation in the SPC System
• Makes and documents machine adjustments if required and permissible
• Assists Manufacturing Team Leader in training when needed
• Performs tool/mold changes and minor maintenance of equipment if applicable
• Ensures area of responsibility is clean and organized
• Reads, applies and provides technical documents
• Set-up operate and control process on all product produced on milling machines
• Responsible for executing production plan according to manufacturing schedule and work instructions
• Responsible for controlling quality records
• Maintains and performs daily preventative machine maintenance and supplies all machine related needs
• Troubleshoot and solve minor to semi-complex problems and issues. Conduct minor root cause analysis
• Verifies the setup of measurement devices
• Maintains mold on machines with proper cleaning and greasing if applicable

Requirements of a Set-Up Technician:

• Must pass pre-employment requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of the production machines
• Mechanical aptitude
• Above average math skills
• Familiar with required measuring equipment
• Knowledge of specific quality procedures
• Troubleshooting skills
• Good leadership skills
