Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Role/Purpose:

This position is responsible for outbound (shipping function) and inbound (receiving function) material control and movement.

Shipping responsibilities include: verifying quantity, quality, labeling, truck loading and unloading of product and items of merchandise ready for shipment to the customer. This function includes daily cycle counts.

Receiving responsibilities include: Receiving, verifying receipt to the PO, labeling materials, unloading trucks as well as performing daily cycle counts. This function requires organization to ensure smooth and consistent operation so parts and supplies are received, located to their respective locations and distributed to proper departments.

Both responsibilities include entering data into the SAP ERP system

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • To be cross-trained in several key function areas (receiving and service parts shipping)
  • To actively participate in all team meetings, plans and functions.
  • To support the Company and our external and internal customers in the areas of receiving, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Perform cycle count process as required.
  • Keep work areas neat, clean and safe in compliance with 5s standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify and compare items packed with customer's order and other identifying data.
  • Prepare customer orders for shipping, via common carrier and express carriers.
  • Prepares shipments for transport by use of proper packaging.
  • Ensures all shipments are safely secured for transport.
  • Coordinate staging of outgoing customer orders, parts, and commodities in the shipping area with the logistics team.
  • Receiving Department- Dock Receipts


Check supplier packing list for quantity, purchase order, part number, and description .

Process packing slips for data entry.

Check validity of purchase order, i.e., non-zero prices on purchase orders. Once validated, input data from packing list into the SAP system.

Assure part numbers are labeled on all parts

Unloads incoming materials, checks freight bill for container count and visually inspects freight for damage. Receive, check, count, mark, and distribute goods. Detail and report damages and shortages.

Assure part number labels are on all parts

Responsible for inspecting all trailers to ensure the trailer is properly docked and the wheels are chocked before loading/unloading goods.

Inspect all loading dock bridges and dock lighting systems.

Receiving Department- Purchase Order Receipt

  • Check supplier packing list for quantity, purchase order, part number, and description.
  • Process packing slips for data entry.
  • Check validity of purchase order, i.e., non-zero prices on purchase orders. Once validated, input data from packing list into the SAP system.
  • Assure part numbers are labeled on all parts


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Math aptitude.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Understanding of ERP systems. (SAP experience preferred)
  • Operate pallet jack.
  • Knowledge of cycle counting processes
  • Good communication Skills
  • Ability to safely lift 50lbs. and work in multiple positions (ie stand, sit, suat, bend, kneel) for prolonged periods of time


This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.

**OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.**

Minimum Education/ Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalency.
  • 1-year minimum experience in warehouse environment or equivalent
