Job Summary
Responsible for handling the domestic and international shipping requirements of the manufacturing facility. The Shipper and Receiver will perform and/or supervise general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment. Manage verification, acceptance, counting, and inputting into ERP system of all incoming goods and their condition.

Responsibilities
• The Shipper and Receiver will perform and/or supervise general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment. Manage verification, acceptance, counting, and inputting into ERP system of all incoming goods and their condition.
• Schedules and coordinates delivery of all materials to customers
• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies
• Collaborates and communicates with customer service representatives, service providers, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments
• Maintains a clean,neat, and member-ready area
• Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stock receivables
• Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately
• Strong sense of time organization and urgency
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels
• Review pick slips and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
• Makes special shipping arrangements as necessary
• Prepares bills and invoices
• Track and fix shipping errors
• Must be highly organized, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail
• Time Management skills
• Packaging units to process for shipment. This includes but is not limited to building crates, palletizing, and foam packing of shipments.
• Maintains departmental records such as UPS shipments, package inventories, and packing slips.
• Generates proper shipping labels and insures correct application according to established policies and procedures.
• Complies with scheduling and attendance requirements
• Maintains a clean and organized working environment
• Involvement in process improvement initiatives and projects
• Must be flexible to work overtime if needed
• May be required to back-up receiving department which would include coordinating shipping and receiving, including verifying receipt of shipments with purchase orders, noting damages incurred.

Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of shipping and receiving experience
• Extensive knowledge of major couriers - FedEx, Purolator, UPS, etc. including how to operate their respective software packages
• Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) is a must
• High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment
• High attention to internal and external customer needs
• Experience with preparing international shipments including customs documents is a MUST
• Ability to operate fork lift trucks - will retrain
• Must be experienced in operation of hand tools, radial arm and circular saws, screw gun and nail gun to build shipping crates
• Must be able to read and write English
• Computer skills a necessity
• Bi-lingual is a plus

Key Competencies
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to use various power (Pneumatic) hand tools (i.e.; power screwdriver, socket etc.)
• Computer literate

The starting pay is $22. This position is eligible for the LIP (Local Incentive Plan) of up to 4%. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
