Homestead Companies is hiring for a full time Shuttle Driver at our student housing property University Village in Columbus, OH with 1831 beds.

As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for operating our shuttle service, facilitating convenient transportation for our residents. Your primary objective will be to provide exceptional customer service, ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our residents during their commutes. You will be an ambassador for our community, embodying our mission by fostering a positive and welcoming atmosphere while maintaining the highest standard of safety and reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Operate the shuttle bus, adhering to predetermined routes and schedules.
• Ensure cleanliness of the shuttles.
• Collaborate with other departments to support community events and activities requiring transportation services.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to identify and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure the safety of the passengers and others on the road.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle operation and passenger safety.
• Implement emergency protocols and procedures in the event of an incident or accident.
• Greet residents with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing a welcoming environment.
• Communicate with residents in a clear and courteous manner, addressing their questions and concerns.
• Other duties as directed or assigned

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• Class B CDL with passenger endorsement
• Current DOT medical certificate preferred
• Must meet federal requirements of DOT drug testing and background check requirements for pre and post-employment
• Driving record must meet Homestead's internal motor vehicle record requirements to be insured by our general liability/motor vehicle insurance company
