Job Description:
Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Shuttle Driver will provide safety, security, and timely transportation of students, faculty, staff, and other college customers to and from the college's locations, Parham Road Campus, Downtown Campus, Goochland Campus, and other authorized locations. This position may also provide security services for the college population in a professional and courteous manner; and will maintain and uphold the image and respect of the Department of Police and the college. The Shuttle Driver is required to work flexible schedules. This position is also considered "essential personnel" for inclement weather/emergency conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Considerable working knowledge of safety and security concepts, principles, procedures and techniques. Working knowledge of customer service practices and principles. Demonstrated skills in the use of security vehicles, communication equipment, alarm systems and other types of security equipment. Demonstrated ability to follow and give oral and written instructions, to react, with a diverse population, to gather information and write factual reports and to explain and ensure policies and procedures. A valid CDL or to ability to obtain a CDL within nine months of employment, and satisfactory driving history are mandated by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS).
Preferred Qualifications:

Current First Aid and CPR/AED Certification. Security experience in a public service organization. Some skill with personal computers.
