The Site of Care (SOC) manager position is responsible for operationalization and maintenance of the SOC program. Responsible for the development of the payer pipeline, collaborating to ensure readiness, and analytics on performance. This individual will provide site of care solutions to existing and potential customers ensuring payer and member satisfaction with Optum home infusion/and or Ambulatory infusion services and support.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the payer team initiatives to meet/exceed growth and business objectives
  • Support key initiatives and projects geared towards improving capture rate at Optum Infusion Pharmacy
  • Support the operationalization and maintenance of the Site of Care program for Optum Infusion
  • Collaborate with clinical and operations team to identify drugs or therapies by payer to support for site of care initiatives
  • Establish and maintain performance monitoring of Site of Care offering to understand operational, contractual and financial performance to goal
  • Support communication for payers, operations and sales required for readiness for product awareness, launch and success
  • Perform routine administrative duties and special assignments properly and on a timely basis while maintaining compliance with all United Health Group/Optum policies and procedures
  • Support health plan and other payer RFP processing to ensure Optum is positioned as a best-in-class specialty infusion provider
  • Apply previous experiences to product, service or process decisions that impact multiple functions and / or customer accounts
  • Analytical ability/thinking and supporting skills (excel, Tableau/BI/reporting tools, industry reports, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working in the health care industry/account management/sales
  • 2+ years in a role requiring development/monitoring of performance analytics
  • Understanding of benefit design and economics associated with medical and pharmacy benefit for Medicare, Commercial and Medicaid reimbursement
  • Proven excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years in product design
  • Experience evaluating data to make informed business decisions
  • Understanding of payer contracting and pricing
  • Demonstrate understanding of contract language and terms of agreement in order to ensure that financial/operation impact and legal implications are aligned with business objectives
  • Demonstrate understanding of financial and non-financial terms
