Position Summary

Perform in process inspections and tests on finished product to ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met throughout the field build process. This position is a site-based position and will require extended stays away from home.

Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections relevant to the Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines, including, but not limited to, installation of duct banks, cable trays, cable, transformers, junction boxes/panels and instruments, terminations, loop checks, and functional testing.
  • Monitor relevant job operations to ensure that activities are performed in accordance with the applicable plans, procedures and practices.
  • Monitor associated discipline work, review/approve Quality Reports and Records.
  • Assist in administrating Quality Control Program.
  • Issue Nonconformance Reports when there is a deficiency and ensure their timely close out.
  • Ensure adherence to Code Requirements and ensure that all associated Documentation and Quality Records are filled out correctly and maintained.
  • Coordinate Quality activities with Area Supervisors.
  • Ensure, through inspection, that work is conducted per procedures and ensure all required documentation is filled out thoroughly, completely and maintained per company policy.

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma, plus a minimum 7 years of experience in relevant Quality Inspection activities in an Industrial environment.
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.
  • Successful candidate will need to satisfactorily complete pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous exposure to high voltage electrical installation including switchgear and electric drives\
  • Exposure to Hazardous Area installations
  • Knowledge of instrument calibrations including ultrasonic flow meter, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, pressure transmitters, etc.
  • A working knowledge of NEC/IEEE/ISO/NFPA/NEMA codes and standards relating to electrical and instrumentation work
  • Working knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice and regulations/legislation relating to electrical and instrumentation work
  • Knowledge of safety legislation and regulations
  • Associates degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Read and Interpret One lines, three-line diagrams and schematics, drawings, standards and specifications.
  • Ability to perform routine Inspection and Test Plan Surveillance tasks without supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality system.
  • Proficiency in use of tape measure and calibrated tooling.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
