Looking for a forward-thinking, energetic Site Reliability Engineering Manager to join our team. PDL serves the ecommerce needs of leading and growing grocery retailers with millions of shoppers located throughout the East Coast and Midwest. Leading IT staff, vendors and third-party providers to make our retailers more competitive by using enabling IT technology

As a PDL SRE Manager, you will be part of a team of IT professionals ultimately responsible for system reliability, developer efficiency and reducing time to market by striving to achieve stability goals and reducing technical debt of the services your SRE team supports. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Site Reliability Engineering Manager or SRE experienced with leading software development projects. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a self-starter, and a creative problem solver. The SRE Manager will be familiar with Agile development processes, have strong process proficiency, skill, and is willing to roll up their sleeves to dig in on any project or problem. The candidate will have relentlessly high standards for themselves and everyone they work with and will be constantly looking for ways to improve reliable, scalable, and performant solutions while relentlessly removing toil from our environment.
What you will do as a PDL SRE Manager; you will lead a team of SREs who are working on anything and everything that could impact reliability, scalability, and performance of solutions deployed in our on-prem or cloud environment. You will provide technical, process and business leadership to your team(s). You will work is a matrix environment using your management and technical skills to get things done while supporting others in the organization who ask the same from you! You will be responsible for managing and leading the best development team and creating a team culture that is constantly setting a higher standard.

The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients
10+ yearsâ experience in eCommerce business systems OR 10+ years Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Transportation
5+ years SRE or DevOps role
5+ years Scrum Agile methodology
Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions that are easily maintainable, understandable, and diagnosable
Able to write clear and consumable documentation
Track record of building and running high-performance teams
Extensive experience leading customer facing systems in a high uptime 24/7 environment
Expertise analyzing complex application, database, network, and OS issues across a distributed large scale customer facing system
System configuration management experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt
Advanced experience with programming and/or scripting languages (Python, Java, bash)
Experience with DevOps tools, processes, and culture
High-level technical understanding (development methodologies, phases, etc)
Proven track record in working collaboratively across functional areas to get results
Interact effectively with representatives from Technology and Business Partners
