Job Title: SNOC Cloud Engineer II

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement Azure and/or other cloud-based solutions, ensuring they meet scalability, security, and performance requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze business and technical requirements.
• Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Implement security measures and best practices to safeguard client data and infrastructure in Azure and/or other cloud environments.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure and/or other cloud resources to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure and/or other cloud services, network connectivity, and application performance.
• Assist in data migration and integration projects to transition on-premises systems to Azure and/or other cloud solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest Azure and cloud technologies, features, services, and industry trends, and propose innovative solutions to enhance our service offerings and capabilities.
• Collaborate with the team to document technical procedures, guidelines, and knowledge base articles.
• Participate in knowledge-sharing and mentoring activities to foster continuous learning and growth within the team.
• Participate in change management and incident review as needed. Document changes and actions in change management and ticketing systems.
• Vigilantly protect company and our client's data through our cybersecurity risk program, which adapts to a rapidly changing threat landscape, business strategies, risks, and vulnerabilities.
• Act as an escalation point for all things Azure.
• Provide SNOC support as needed.
• Offer project and end-user support as delegated by the Vice President, Director, and Manager.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• 3 years of hands-on Azure experience or 2 years of hands-on Azure experience with a formal Azure certification required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Azure Engineer with a strong understanding of Azure services, solutions, and best practices.
• Proficiency in deploying and managing Azure resources using Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and PowerShell.
• Experience with Azure networking, virtual machines, storage solutions, and identity management.
• Familiarity with Azure security features, compliance standards, and data protection mechanisms.
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in an Azure environment is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues.
• Azure certifications.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team and with clients.
• Experience in administering, monitoring, and performance-tuning Linux systems
• Proficiency deploying Docker containerized applications and familiarity with Docker logging
• Understanding of best practices for Azure-based storage solutions like Azure Files, Blob Storage, and Azure Data Lake
• Strong knowledge of networking technologies

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience administering Kubernetes is a plus
