We are seeking a part-time Social Consultant to join our North America Environment and Society Consulting team.

Reporting to the North America Social and Sustainability Director, this position will be responsible for supporting the delivery of social and sustainability scopes of work.

Primary Objectives and Accountabilities of the Role

You will play a key role in supporting the Social and Sustainability Consulting team in a range of activities, including, but not limited to:
• Undertaking aspects of research, analysis, and social impact assessment.
• Developing and implementing project stakeholder and community engagement and social performance plans.
• Developing components of Community Benefits Plans.
• Supporting Environmental Justice scopes of work.
• Support with technical report writing.

Essential Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelors in environmental or social sciences; economics, planning, or other equivalent; Advanced degree(s) preferred in a relevant subject area.
• 7+ years of professional experience, preferably with an environmental consulting organization, an operator, contractor, or regulator.
• Experience in social and/or environmental due diligence including desktop baselines and/or field-level assessments.
• Stakeholder engagement and social research experience in consulting, industry, government, or NGO settings.
• Familiarity with EP4, the IFC PS, GRI, SASB, UNGPs, UN SDGs and other relevant sustainability frameworks.
• Ability to cultivate, manage and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Highly developed written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills including facilitation and presentation capabilities.
