Broad Description of Duties:

The Social Media & Marketing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing multiple social media accounts for Marcus Theatres with direction from the Social Media Manager and for supporting the implementation of marketing initiatives, including new/updated program launches, branding efforts, advertising/promotional requests and more. Duties include content creation; managing a content calendar/schedule; posting regularly on social channels and monitoring and replying to comments as needed. This individual will also work with the marketing team and theatre locations to support broader marketing initiatives.
This position reports to the Social Media Manager.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

 Work with the Social Media Manager to create content for multiple Marcus Theatres social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.;

 Oversee and provide content and direction to individual theatres' social media accounts;

 Work with the Social Media Manager to monitor trends on social media and find ways to integrate them into the brand;

 Identify social media influencers and help create partnerships with them;

 Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to monitor and measure the success of social media efforts;

 Work with the Marketing team to support marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic marketing plan;

 Recommend, coordinate and execute local advertising initiatives within assigned markets, including sports partnerships, radio, direct mail and grassroots/guerilla marketing initiatives, etc.;

 Serve as point-of-contact for field marketing material requests and communication;

 Assist the Marketing team with creation and execution of film studio marketing plans;

 Interact with multiple departments, (Sales, Operations, Film) to ensure guest needs are met;

 Other duties, as assigned, by the Social Media Manager.

Job Requirements:

 Two (2) years of experience as a social media specialist or similar position

 Excellent knowledge of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.,

and ability to leverage social media for brand awareness

 Travel to local Marcus theatre locations and to company functions and meetings is required;

 Ability to provide exceptional client service and exhibit a sense of urgency to complete duties

promptly;

 Strong critical thinking and organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly evolving

environment;

 Understanding of SEO and web-traffic metrics;

 Detail oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, managing

multiple projects without supervision;

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;

 Proficient in marketing technology such as Basecamp and Google Analytics, and familiarity with

navigating website CMS, preferred

Education Required:
 BS/BA in Marketing, Communications or equivalent experience
