GRADUATE STUDENT ASSISTANT for Social Work Department

The Department of State Hospitals-Napa, Social Work Department has multiple intermittent-Actual Time Worked vacancies for Social Work Graduate Student Assistant. RECRUITMENT CRITERIA MUST BE MET FOR CONSIDERATION:

Applicants must: have completed a first year MSW in-person Field Practicum Internship, be entering second year graduate/Masters Social Work internship; enrolled in Council of Social Work Education accredited graduate/Masters Social Work degree program; graduate school contracted with DSH Napa; provide confirmation of enrollment from graduate school; graduate school requires minimum 20 hours internship per week (this is a 24-hour per week practicum); internship period runs from September through May.

Founded in 1875, Napa State Hospital is the only state hospital in Northern California for persons struggling with severe mental illness. Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres. Range F. Evidence of successful completion of two years of graduate work (48 semester units) in education and admission to a doctoral candidacy in education. and

Two years of professional experience in the field of education.

Range G. Evidence of successful completion of all requirements, with the exception of dissertation, for the doctoral degree in education. and

Two years of professional experience in the field of education.
