Job Description
Areas of Responsibilities: 6100, 8ICU, 9PCU. Supervisory coverage as needed of social work staff in other areas.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Valid license as an LCSW issued by the NYSED and one (1) year of supervisory experience utilizing casework, group work and/or community organization methodologies.

Job Description
Areas of Responsibilities: 6100, 8ICU, 9PCU. Supervisory coverage as needed of social work staff in other areas.
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision of the social work staff in the 6100, 8ICU and 9PCU or general care.
- Orients new social work staff and apprises incumbent staff of changes in policy, procedure or standards related to the department and various in-house services.
- Ensures adequate coverage and continuity of patient care at all times.
- Ensures staff documents all interventions and continuing care plans in the patient's medical record in accordance with departmental and hospital policies.
- Coordinates staf activities to meet the needs of the department.
- Participates in the formulation of standards, policies, and procedures for orientation, supervision and in-service training of social work staff.
- Monitors staff activities to ensure compliance with all the above.
- Assist workers with the coordination of interdisciplinary case conferences for and with patients.
- Prepares performance evaluations for social work staff.
