Responsibilities*
The person in this role will be responsible for:
- Conducting psychosocial assessments to evaluate the physical, emotional, and social functioning and strengths of older adults.
- Analyzing, comparing, and evaluating various interventions to stabilize housing and establish a sustainable housing situation.
- Conducting in-home visits with older adults, when needed, to fully assess the housing situation.
- Identifying risks of housing insecurity.
- Working with diverse patient populations in need of support and services.
- Participating in the education and training of students and staff from social work and other disciplines.
- Managing a large caseload with multiple competing demands.
- Working independently in a variety of stressful and demanding situations.
- Providing high-level interventions while working with clients to ensure their basic tangible and concrete needs are met.
- Working collaboratively and effectively with other professionals, agencies, community partners and groups.
- Working well as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Conducting programmatic evaluation and development.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications*
- Master's degree in social work (MSW) from a school accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
- A current license to practice social work in the State of Michigan (limited license holders must have ability to become fully licensed within two years of date of hire).
- Clinical practice concentration and field practicum or recent work experience with older adults.

- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize competing tasks in a timely manner.
- Have skills in electronic charting, data entry using multiple data bases, phone systems, and other general computing platforms.
