We are seeking an experienced Engineering Program Manager to drive software release management and release quality for the Private Cloud Compute software that powers Apple Intelligence.
Key Qualifications
Detailed understanding of Apple's processes for operating system software planning, development, build & integration, qualification, and release
Ability to facilitate and drive technical discussions: requirements definition, architecture/design, design tradeoffs, issue resolution, tracking/progress check-ins
Technical proficiency: cloud architecture, development and deployment, databases, build & release systems, and bonus points for past programming experience
Description
Drive processes and best practices to develop, build, qualify, and release high-quality software to internal and external audiences
Manage and communicate program/release schedules with clear dependencies, driving alignment across the organization
Drive on-time development and delivery, establishing checkpoints, and re-planning as events warrant
Identify release blockers, work with teams to deliver timely resolutions, and manage the overall change control processes
Provide clear, timely and objective communication, including updates on program status and critical issues to executive team
This is not a task-based job; you are accountable for delivering successful outcomes.
Education & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or deep relevant industry experience.
