The Brand Experience organization is the growth and development engine for Brands in the Amazon Store. We are looking for a software development engineer who is customer focused, relentless and driven to help us build out a brand-new initiative, which will help guide our brands to provide great experience for our customers. You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers and leaders across the org. You will work on real world problems on a global scale, own your team's systems end to end and influence the direction of product that has large-scale impacts for customers around the world.\r

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

- Knowledge of, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl

- Knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals such as object-oriented design, algorithm design, data structures, problem solving, and complexity analysis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases.

- Experience developing cloud software services and design for scalability, performance and reliability

- Effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

- Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly.\r

- Experience in handling end to end application lifecycle (front-end, back-end and data pipelines).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $88,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $200,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
