Software Dev Engineer II, AWS Marketplace, Partner Integration Engineering

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We revolutionize the way software is sold and procured, just like how Amazon continues to redefine retail purchasing.
We are one of the fastest-growing teams in AWS, and interface with a diverse internal and external community of software service sellers over a wide variety of technologies, with a rapidly growing audience of buyers from different market segments. AWS Marketplace manages the state of the art complex infrastructure to provide a smooth experience for sellers and buyers to buy various software and services for different domains like infrastructure software, machine learning, and IoT.
We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineers to help the team take AWS Marketplace to the next level. As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will own significant portions of the product and will have influence on our strategy by helping define the next wave of product features and system architecture. The systems are complex and there are huge opportunities to work at all levels from a set of robust platform services, to system level pieces and everything in between. You should be somebody who enjoys working on complex system software, is customer-centric, and is passionate about building quality software as well as achieving operational excellence. A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are essential.
The ideal candidate will have a track record of success delivering new features or products. This person has thrived and succeeded in delivering high quality technology products/services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift fast. This person has design and implementation experience, knowledge of web services and protocols, and an in-depth knowledge of distributed systems architectures.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be passionate about solving complex and broad business problems of cloud marketplaces with simple and straightforward solutions, applying appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices, building solutions that scale and perform well. They will own the design and implementation of major deliverables end-to-end. This position requires collaboration with other engineers on the team, principal engineers, product managers, and partner teams. You should be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and should have a desire to create, iterate and improve.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
