Our team is looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer who can contribute to the tech vision, strategy, and road map of one of the most important initiatives across Amazon. You will enable innovative technology solutions that directly improve customer experience around the world.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior SDE you will closely work with product and technical partners to:

* Enable Vendors and Retail teams to seamlessly manage their business.

* Drive profitability improvement to Amazon's retail business through scalable and automated solutions.

* Launch innovative features/products in Emerging Stores efficiently and scale Worldwide.

* Serve as a technical lead, influence team strategy and contribute to long-term roadmap.

* Design/develop innovative solutions for complex and/or ambiguous features and maintain high standards by participating in Design/Code/OE reviews.

* Support development and growth of junior engineers in the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
