Our work depends on Software Developer joining our Agile team to in modernizing and enhancing complex software products for a CMS program. The ideal candidate is a hands-on full-stack developer with significant experience in DevSecOps practices, the Angular platform, containers, scalable architecture, and APIs who can lead junior and senior developers in designing and coding innovative web-based solutions in accordance Human Centered Design principles. This person should embody a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software
  • Work with Systems Architect to design end-to-end business solutions to complex problems
  • Creates secure high quality web applications and APIs. This may require the integration of 3rd party applications and/or creating new web applications and APIs in house.
  • Collaborates with business analysts and product owners to ensure that applications are created and maintained to meet specifications and requirements.
  • Provides advanced guidance and mentors less-experienced web developer personnel. Serves as a technical team leader
  • Designs, codes, tests, implements and maintains web applications and APIs
  • Troubleshoots problems and enhancement possibilities.
  • Creates and maintains documentation relating to web applications, APIs, and procedures.
  • Actively participate in code reviews.
  • Integrates software components into a fully functional software system.
  • Expands software development best practices and guidelines
  • Applies security and privacy principles.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, with advanced degree preferred.
  • Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience
  • Required Technical Skills:
    • Experience developing Frontend and Backend Enterprise Web applications.
    • Skill for building and deploying Docker containers.
    • Deep understanding of continuous integration: Jenkins, GitHub.
    • Skill in designing and implementing code unit tests.
    • Understands nuances of architecture; Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns.
    • Understands microservices based, scalable architecture.
    • Skill for writing reusable Java libraries and Angular web components.
    • Skill for API design and API Orchestration using restful APIs
    • Experience using the following technologies :Core Java, JAVA 8 and above, Maven, Spring, Spring boot, NodeJS, Express, Angular, NPM, Python 3.X, Flask

Clearance: Ability to pass CMS background check and meet the residency requirement for having resided in the US for at least (3) three out of the last (5) five years in order to obtain a Public Trust.

The likely salary range for this position is $140,899 - $167,900. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
