As a Software Developer Intern at SteelFab, you'll immerse yourself in the intersection of technology and the construction industry. Working with our Software Development and Engineering teams, you'll engage with a range of innovative projects that drive our technological advancements. Throughout your internship, you'll enhance your skills and broaden your experience by taking on a variety of impactful responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-Stack Development: Engage in full-stack development and provide ongoing support for engineering design applications, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Plugin Development: Design, develop, and maintain plugins for various software platforms to enhance functionality and integration.
• System Maintenance: Oversee system maintenance and version control for a highly customized 3D modeling software platform, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Technical Support and Custom Solutions: Offer technical support and develop custom solutions for end users, including internal staff and external subcontractors, to address their specific needs and challenges.
• Testing and R&D: Conduct testing, research, and development for system updates and internal improvements, contributing to the advancement of integrated systems.
• BIM Management: Manage and translate 3D model files across multiple software platforms, facilitating effective Building Information Modeling (BIM) practices.
• Documentation Development: Create and maintain comprehensive user guides and documentation, providing clear instructions and support for software users.
• Fabrication Shop Experience: Gain hands-on experience with the fabrication flow and production processes, deepening your understanding of the entire construction lifecycle.

Qualifications and Requirements

Major: Computer Science, Mechanical, Civil or Systems Engineering

Required: Programming experience or training for .NET environments (C#, C++, VB). Aptitude for computer and technology systems in a Windows-based environment.
