About the team

Felix team team help manage unutilized storage capacity and reduce waste through close coordination with Data center operations (DCO). We also manage Retirement and Consolidation of S3 fleet(s) where older hosts are retired to improve efficiency and reduce maintenance cost. Felix team broadly works on issues that increase usable storage space and our work helps S3 to continue scale and keep lower storage costs for our customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design experience

- 4+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

- 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience

- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
