Software Development Engineer, Amazon Robotics (AR)

We are inventing a foundational platform which will transform warehouse robotics through innovative and efficient robot designs and software which makes it easy to deploy and scale robotic systems. The team is seeking exceptional Software Engineers to help build and scale this platform across the Amazon warehouse network.
Key job responsibilities
This is a brand new system which is a critical priority for the Robotics organization. As a key member, you will:
* Conceive, design and develop components to solve robotics problems at scale
* Collaborate across teams to create software which drives hardware
* Prototype new concepts or features through simulators, emulators and with live robotic equipment in the lab
* Work directly with internal customers and see the impact of your products in the field

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Strong experience with C++
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience working on software which controls robots or other hardware like telecom and medical devices
