This position reports to

Senior Engineering Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management, departments and internal customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications
  • Design solutions by creating new software programs and systems, testing programs, and deploying programs and applications
  • Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software
  • Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance
  • Manufacturing system implementation and integration on the factory throughout the production lines
  • Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects
  • Implementing initiatives to improve operations and customer satisfaction
  • Running green belt level lean projects to scope proper systems prior to development


Your background

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or Related Field and minimum 5 years of experience in programing
  • Ability to write fast and performant database queries using a flavor of SQL Server, such as MySQL, MSSQL
  • Familiarity with standard database management tools and software, such as Microsoft Access and Excel, Visual Studio .NET
  • Experience in creating and/or supporting LabVIEW software applications and control equipment used in the manufacturing
  • Experience in creating and supporting reporting & visualization dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing processes & 6 sigma is a plus
  • Good understanding of process improvement
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to prioritize projects to deliver results within expected time frame
  • Ability to communicate with a cross functional team to gain consensus on project direction, scope & schedule
  • Proficient English language skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
