Position Description

MDx Software Development department in Ann Arbor is the key development site for our NeuMoDx platform.

We are looking for motivated Software Project Manager with hands-on SW experience.

You will have opportunity to work with development teams and global stakeholders on one of QIAGEN's key diagnostic products. You will be responsible for defining projects roadmap aligned with stakeholders and budget as well as successful execution.
  • Project planning (timeline overview, risk management)
  • Writing project documentation (product requirements, software requirements, development plan)
  • Decision making in regards to priorities and projects backlog
  • Worldwide Stakeholder and Team management
  • Release process management
  • Project budgeting
  • Project assignments together with line managers
  • Working with global development teams
  • Responsibility for software product development and maintenance


Position Requirements

  • University degree in Computer-Science or comparable education
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT
  • At least 2 years of experience on similar position
  • At least 1 year of experience in agile project development as PO/PM/SM
  • Knowledge or interest in biotechnology is a plus

Personal Requirements

  • Practical experience with different software development processes (Agile, PMI, Prince2)
  • Very good communication skills in English (spoken and written - C1 level)
  • Ability to work independently in international environment
  • Ability to prioritize own work
