Amazon's Identity Security & Abuse Prevention Team is looking for passionate, experienced Software Development Manager that will drive the development and adoption of the Identity & Access Management initiative for WW stores. Key job responsibilities

As a Software Development Manager you will work closely with a talented team of engineers and security product managers to both ideate, built, operate, and scale, impactful customer facing features across the full development lifecycle. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering some of our most strategic technical projects, deliver large scale systems, design new software systems at the cutting edge of distributed storage and database technologies and have a significant revenue growth and bottom-line impact on our business and competitive position. As a Software Development Manager, you will be part of the larger technical leadership community at Amazon. This community forms the backbone of the company, plays a critical role in the broad business planning, working closely with senior executives to develop business targets and resource requirements, influences our long-term technical and business strategy, helps us hire talented team of engineers and ultimately enables us to deliver innovative new solutions rapidly.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience

- 7+ years of engineering experience

- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience

- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations

- Experience partnering with product or program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy

- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers

- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management concepts

- Demonstrated success working across organizational boundaries, bringing together people with diverse perspectives and experience to find solutions.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $166,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $287,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
