Your role

We're looking for software engineers to:
• design and implement technology solutions that will solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders in financial services
• leverage the latest technologies to provide the best user experience
• design, plan and deliver resilient solutions using various programming languages
• provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing applications
• conduct code reviews and test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design
• see that proper operational controls and procedures are implemented to process move from test to production

Your team

You'll be working in the Risk Technology team . The Risk Technology organization at UBS, delivers quality, innovative solutions that support our Group Functions business partners in achieving their operational goals. Technology is at the very heart of UBS.As a team of talented women and men, we have a critical role to play in building, delivering, and maintaining the systems, services and infrastructure that power our business. Your role will be based in our Weehawken, NJ location.

Your expertise

• four-year bachelor's degree or the international equivalent in computer science, math, physics, engineering, or a related field
• ideally 10+ years of hands-on development experience using core Java and Oracle PL/SQL
• ideally 2+ years of Market Risk experience
• experience in holding a technical role within a team of technocrats; especially for high-performance, large-scale systems through various project lifecycle stages like design, build, testing etc.
• an excellent understanding of object-oriented design, database design and development with good knowledge of UNIX and previous experience financial Services domain
• experience in Java technologies, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL is mandatory
• experience in ADLS, Microservices, Azure postgres is desirable
• excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work as part of a global team
