Job Description:
Design, write, documements into functional code
- Write clean, extensible, efficient code.
- Thoroughly document any software and its development process.
- Carry out rigorous testing to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of the developed applications.
- Adhere to best practices in software design.
- Ensure adherence to university IT security requirements and standards.
Deploy and maintain software, training
- Deploy developed software to generate reports and improve college workflow to support a variety of the College's business practices.
- Train users in how to use any developed software to ensure a smooth transition and optimal usage of software.
- Continually maintain and improve software as necessary, promptly addressing any issues that may arise.
Analysis
- Assess the effectiveness and impact of software applications implemented.
- Ensure accuracy and prompt generation of College reports through developed software.
- Collaborate and communicate with users and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure software continues to meet College's strategic objectives.
Stay abreast of advancements in relevant technologies and tools. May be required to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, as needed.
Expected Salary:
Level I: $65,000-$80,000; Level II: $80,000-$95,000; commensurate with education and experience
Minimum Requirements:
Level I: A bachelor's degree and one year of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Level II: Bachelor's degree and three years of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in computer science, statistics, bioinformatics, analytics, or similar field, or a bachelor's degree and a minimum of two years of experience.

- Minimum of one year's experience building/maintaining software using React
- Minimum of one years' experience utilizing AWS for dynamically scaled hosting

- Data Science, Statistical Modeling and Data Visualization

- Ability to mentor undergraduate students and less experienced developers in building, extending, or maintaining codebases.
