Software Engineer (SME)

We are searching for a Top Secret cleared Software Engineers (SMEs) to join our team, one can be based out of the NCR or in Huntsville, AL and the other out of Huntsville.
You will be working in an organization that's mission is to accelerate operations through data and new analytical insights. The entire section leverages SAFe agile and works to provide the entire enterprise with tools and applications to assist with operational data discovery, data exploitation, data analytics, and data visualization tools. The section works closely with the entire enterprise to ensure its applications and tools meet or exceed the needs of the mission.
The Software Engineer (SME)is a part of a team that will lead large scale data analysis projects to designs and delivers on premises and cloud-based applications.
The Software Engineer (SME)is responsible for design, development, testing, and management of application development projects in support of IT infrastructure. The Software Engineer (SME)is also responsible leading teams in the design, build, and deployment of applications, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics. Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments. Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
This position can be located in the NCR of Huntsville, AL for one role and the other out of Huntsville, and is an exciting opportunity for cleared talent with a Top Secret clearance to work the program.

• Provides technical direction and expertise in a variety of specialized areas including information systems engineering, systems architecture, systems integration, telecommunications, systems standards, process engineering, systems design and requirements specification.
• May serve as technical director or as a senior technical staff member.
• Responsibilities may include a combination of the following: establishes system information requirements, designs architecture to include the software, hardware and communications to support the total requirements, evaluates and integrates cross-functional requirements and interfaces, evaluates and defines system requirements, performs enterprise-wide strategic systems planning, provides technical and/or subject-matter expertise to project, and/or may supervise technical staff.
• Responsible for the design, development, testing, and management of the application development projects in support of IT infrastructure.
• This includes the programmatic integration of third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks.
• Develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy applications at the direction of lead architects, including large-scale data processing, computationally intensive statistical modeling, and advanced analytics.
• Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle for all solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Duties include technical project milestone reviews, code architecture sessions, resource estimation, and development best practices knowledge transfer.

• Must have 12 years of experience with 10 years of related technical specialized experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. Preferred:
