Job Summary:

The Software Engineer is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the college's information systems related to the web. This position is responsible for all facets of the software development process including design, test, documentation, deployment, and maintenance of web-based software solutions. It is a requirement the software and systems developed be scalable and developed using best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 1 - 3 years of relevant experience

Essential Functions:

• The software engineer is responsible for all facets of the development process including design, test, documentation, and maintenance of web based software solutions.
  • The application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications.
  • The design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of computer systems or programs, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications
  • The design, documentation, testing, creation or modification of computer programs related to machine operating systems
• Demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies and take pride in your work
• Implement and maintain web-based software solutions
• Serve as a core member of an agile engineering team
• Troubleshoot bugs and implement fixes for them
• Write functional documentation
• Ability to work weekend or evening hours as required
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

Git, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, LAMP, Java, PHP, Python, Django or other programming language

  • College pays 100% tuition only.
  • Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.
