Software Engineer

System One is currently seeking a software engineer for a leader in the design, manufacturing, and field services of shell and tube heat exchangers, vessels, towers, and other heat transfer components in the petrochemical industry.

JOB PROFILE AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop, implement, and maintain software applications to support the growing needs of the business.
• Collaborate with multiple department leads to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure the software solutions are user-friendly, efficient, and capable of producing accurate results.
• Integrate software with existing systems and databases to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy.
• Provide technical support and training to end users.
• Continuously monitor and improve software performance, addressing any issues or bugs promptly.
• Manage IT projects related to software development and system integration, ensuring timely delivery.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proven experience in software development using ASP.NET, VBA, and C#. Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL).
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
