Software Engineer - SW- Language Engineer Responsibilities


  • Create and maintain pipelines to extract, transform, and analyze large volumes of labeled text training data.

  • Build and maintain tools to compute and visualize quality metrics relevant to human and machine-labeled text or audio data.

  • Participate in the design of algorithms that allow us to bring the state of the art in NLP algorithms on device.

  • Work with mobile engineers to put the modeling solutions into production.

  • Conduct design and code reviews.

  • Improve open source libraries (Pytorch, Fairseq) for scientific and business use.

  • Design robust on-device model for greater model capacity without sacrificing efficiency.

  • Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of various systems resources and translation systems.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Employer will accept a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field. Requires completion of a university-level course, research project, internship, or thesis in the following:

  • 1. C and C++, including modern concurrency concepts

  • 2. Java and PHP, Python or Perl

  • 3. Programing language design

  • 4. Machine Learning

  • 5. Procedural, Functional, Scripting, Logic and Object-oriented Programming languages

  • 6. Software development practices including source control, code reviews, unit testing, debugging and profiling

  • 7. Code bases covering different layers in the firmware/software stack.
