Description

The Verily Test Infrastructure team is critical to the success of Verily. Our team is responsible for building robust, reliable and reusable test infrastructure that enables test automation for all Verily products. Our work has a significantly positive impact on the software development lifecycle for all Verily engineering teams. We ensure Verily achieves high release velocity but also launches products that are of the highest quality. As a Software Engineer in Test you'll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a robust test automation framework. You'll collaborate closely with developers and product managers to ensure the quality and reliability of our backend systems. The exciting challenge lies in scaling our testing infrastructure to handle increasing complexity and traffic while ensuring exceptional performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop comprehensive test plans and automation scripts for backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and address potential issues early in the development cycle.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks using industry-standard tools and technologies.
• Execute and analyze test results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
• Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to the overall efficiency of the QA team.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on backend systems and APIs.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or C#.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance and load testing tools, such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments, such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for quality and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $125,000 - $178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
