Job Description:

The Software Quality Engineer will be part of a scrum team that is responsible for writing and executing test cases working with Ready API Pro/Soap UI, SQL Query, TFS, and more. The Software Quality Engineer should have an interest in the success of the business (working with requirements and stories) and communicating feedback and test results.

The Software Quality Engineer executes Information Services (I.S.) Quality Assurance (QA) processes with moderate guidance. He/She identifies problems, generates alternatives, and recommends solutions within defined processes. This position documents the progress of assigned tasks to ensure objectives are met. He/She collaborates effectively with QA team members, application developers, software vendors, consultants, user communities, and test environment technical support staff in the execution of testing procedures. This position supports testing efforts of small to medium complexity.

The Software Quality Engineer is knowledgeable of the key processes and technology within the business functions he/she supports.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS), Ready API Pro/Soap UI, SQL Query, Scrum and Microsoft Office
• Experience testing APIs
• Familiarity with Scripting
• Familiarity with testing front end web application
• Familiarity with manual and automated testing concepts and Soap UI
• Familiarity working with Windows OS (Server and Workstation)
• Quality Assurance certification is a plus
• Technical Knowledge of Hardware and Software
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
